About Corte Madera Montessori-An AMS Full Member School

Corte Madera Montessori is dedicated to the development of the whole child. We place equal emphasis on social, emotional, physical, and academic growth. Corte Madera Montessori values a child’s sensitive periods. Our teachers act as guides, and encourage children’s growth through tactile, sensorial, and experiential methods of learning. Our programs, consisting of individualized and small group learning, foster the children’s unique abilities and interests. This allows the children to develop their lifelong love of learning.

The children are guided to take responsibility for their actions and words to strengthen self-discipline and self-respect, as well as respect others and the environment. This allows each child to reach his or her full potential as an individual while contributing to the classroom community.

By respecting the children in our care, we teach respect for each other and all forms of life through our words and actions. In this environment children develop self-esteem, self-reliance, and self-motivation.
