Part-Time Assistant Teacher – Afterschool Program

We are seeking an Assistant Teacher/Floater to support our playground and after-school programs for children ages 2 to 6 years old. This is a year-round position with a June 16th start date. (A July 7th start date can be accommodated.) This position will report to the Director.

Hours offered: This is a part-time role from 1pm to 5pm.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee/supervise children
• Support conflict resolution
• Prepare snack
• Enforce school and playground guidelines
• Maintain a stimulating set of children’s activities
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment

Our ideal candidate has:

• A minimum of 12 ECE units required
• Experience in a preschool setting leading groups of children from age 2 to 6 yrs
• Confidence with the use of positive discipline to guide children and enforce limits
• Experience with Montessori preferred
• A desire to learn and to be an integral part of a team
• Able to lift 30 lbs

We offer:

• $26-28 per hour depending on experience and training
• Weekly pay
• 5 Paid Time Off days after 30 days

All employees must complete a TB test, Livescan, and state-mandated child abuse reporter training before their start date.
