The Montessori Classroom
Each of our classrooms are led by Montessori trained teachers. The well prepared environments reflect the core Montessori belief that children learn best through their own efforts. The role of the teacher is to connect the children to the materials in the environment through group and individual lessons.
Children enjoy working with challenging and beautifully crafted Montessori materials and appreciate a sense of order and beauty. These concepts are fundamental to the Montessori learning environment.
Teachers encourage each child to pursue activities for which they are ready. In addition, the child learns from interactions with other children and has the opportunity to reinforce their own knowledge by helping others.
